Thanks, we're working on the pronunciation. We re-recorded parts of episodes 1 & 2 and uploaded them, hopefully this helps.

Thanks for putting out these podcasts. A great addition. The Venice editions are a special highlight - would love a future series to go into more details.

Glad you like it! Yes, I will certainly do more on Venice's economic history if I do a full series on them.

Thanks so much for doing these podcasts! I just discovered you 9/8/13. I am through episode 3. Just by chance I happened to be studying this period in Italian History as part of my genealogy research. My grandmother told me that her Grandfather left Italy "because of a civil war and ended up fighting in the civil war here"..according to the census he emigrated in 1862..so that could be true..so my hope for your future podcasts would be to learn more about the Italians who immigrated to America I know there was a "Garibaldi Brigade" in our Civil War..have you read Lucy Riall's "Garibaldi: Invention of a hero"? Anyway thanks again!

Hmm, that's an angle I hadn't considered. I'll start looking into that, maybe at the end of the series I can do a few episodes on the Italian diaspora. Thanks for the idea!
